Welcome!

This site is the product of the EcoPol Project's Summer 2010 cohort, a collaborative effort by Portland State University students seeking to educate and enlighten readers about today’s leading environmental and eco-political issues.

Before you explore our site, please join us in a quick thought experiment: Imagine two groups of 100,000 people each. One of these group’s vehicles are replaced with hybrid automobiles, and the other group chooses to become vegetarians. Which one of these groups would be more ecologically sustainable? Which has less of an impact on the environment? Who saves more money? Who produces less waste?

Whatever your answers or intuitions, our cohort's task was to answer these and other questions about those who drive hybrid automobiles and lead vegetarian lifestyles - hence, Eat Green, Drive Green. Too, that's our goal: to reach out from this bombardment of websites and messages, to deliver our own: Eating Green and Driving Green has its pros and cons, but either one is a good choice. So, give us a shot -- and give your body, your habits, and your world a chance to thrive on health, positivism and progress.

Oh, and be sure to visit our blog. Feel free to ask us any questions that cross your mind (through email or by posting on our forum), and take our survey, explore the icon links below, and most importantly – have fun!
